Cheonggyecheon is a 5.2 mile-long, modern public recreation space in downtown Seoul. This massive urban renewal project is on the site of a stream that flowed before until the rapid post-war economic development required it to be covered by transportation infrastructure. The $900 million project initially attracted much public criticism but, after opening in 2005, has become popular among city residents and tourists (Source: Wikipedia).
This is a 5.1 mile bridge-tunnel fixed link that connects Busan (the second largest in South Korea) to Geoje Island. The tunnel (as a part of this link) is the world’s deepest immersed roadway tunnel (157 ft below mean water level) and the world’s second-longest concrete immersed tunnel (2 miles). Thanks to this bridge, opened in 2010, the travelling distance between Geoje Island and Busan is shortened by about 37 miles (Source: Wikipedia).
As a small country (75% of North Carolina's land) with more than 50 million populations, South Korea heavily relies on exportation. As a peninsula, South Korea can export diverse items through ports such as Busan (the second largest city) and Incheon (the fifth largest city) that operate 24/7.

This picture is a part of the construction project in Libya, the Great Manmade River. It is a network of pipes that supplies water to the Sahara Desert in Libya, from the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer System fossil aquifer. It is the world's largest irrigation project. Korean company finished first two stages (out of four) of this project.
